Dr. Andrew (Andy) Davis has been studying the biology of migratory animals for over 20 years, and has particular interests in bird and butterfly migrations. He has experience working at multiple bird-banding (ringing) operations, including raptor banding stations, as well as with studies where migrating monarch butterflies are captured and tagged. He has published in a wide variety of ornithological and entomological journals and his scientific studies involve examining the physical and physiological characteristics of migratory animals that contribute to migration success. He also teaches an undergraduate class on animal migration.
