Short bio-sketch:

Prof. Jose L. Toca-Herrera is head of the Institute for Biophysics at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU Vienna). He graduated in Physics from the University of Valencia, in 1993. In 1994, he carried out a year-long research project at Max-Planck Institute of Polymer Research. From 1996 to 1999 he completed his PhD at the Max-Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces. He held postdoctoral positions at the Technical University-Berlin, the University of Cambridge, and BOKU. In 2004, he joined the Rovira i Virgili University (Tarragona) as RyC research professor. In 2007, he moved to CIC biomaGUNE (San Sebastian) as group leader (I3 researcher). In September 2010, he joined BOKU as a full professor of biophysics.
