Luigi Campanella is Professor of Environmental and Cultural Heritage Chemistry at Sapienza University of Rome. He held the position of President of the Italian Chemical Society from 1989 to 1990. Between 1988 – 1994 a dean of the Faculty of Sciences at the Sapienza University of Rome. He is an author of about 400 papers in national and international journals and of 7 books in the fields of Analytical Chemistry, Electrochemistry, Environmental Chemistry and Analytical Biotechnology, Philosophy of Chemistry, Chemistry of Cultural Heritage. He received some national and international Prizes and Awards.
