Fields of interest:

  • Cognitive neuroscience of visual attention and semantic memory
  • Studies of word and picture processing in aging, cortical neurodegenerative disease and stroke
  • In vivo imaging of pathological alterations of cognitive brain systems, neurotransmitter systems and pathogenetic processes in normal aging, in patients with cortical neurodegenerative disease (Alzheimer's disease, frontotemporal degeneration) and with cortical ischemic strokes (functional magnetic resonance imaging and positron emission tomography)
  • Integration of human brain mapping in cognitively intact volunteers and psychophysical and neuroimaging studies in patients suffering from cognitive deficits
