Short biographical information: Prof. Xiao-Jun Yang is affiliated with the Department of Mathematics and Mechanics, China University of Mining and Technology, and is a Fellow at the Institute of Applied Mathematics, Qujing Normal University. Previously he held the position of Research Assistant at the Institute of Software Science, Zhengzhou Normal University, China.

His research interests are local fractional calculus, ODEs and PDEs, analytical approximate and numerical solutions, Fourier analysis (integral transforms and applications), nonlinear dynamics (fluid mechanics, heat and traffic flow), wavelet, signal processing and mathematical physics.

Prof. Yang is active in his field, being a member of the Institute for Chinese Institute of Electronics, the Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, the Institute for Fractal Research, Germany, and Life Member of the Chinese Physical Society. Prof. Yang has published extensively, contributing 3 books, numerous book chapters and publications to date.
