Aims and Scope

The FCAA journal (abbreviated in the databases as “Fract. Calc. Appl. Anal.”) is a specialized international journal for theory and applications with primary topics: Fractional Calculus, Special Functions and Integral Transforms, and secondary related topics of Applied Analysis. For more information, visit the journal webpage at Springer, and go to Aims and Scope and Editorial Policy. The high standards of its contents are guaranteed by the list of the Editors and invited external referees, all of them selected from the world prominent experts in the FCAA areas.

Why subscribe and read

  • Source of high quality research and survey papers authored by researchers from all over the world
  • The specialized FCAA areas of applied mathematical analysis are gaining fast growing interest and applications in mathematics, other nature sciences, engineering, medicine, finance, other social sciences, etc.
  • The area of fractional calculus and its applications is enjoying recently a very   fast development, with several new entries in MSC 2010, along with the earlier existing ones; with more than 70 monographs, great number of proceedings of specialized conferences, edited volumes, numerical algorithms and packages, patents, etc.
  • Editorship and reviewing by the world best known experts in the journal’s area. Among the founding editors we have the famous pioneers in fractional calculus. The Editorial Board is now enforced by several most active scientists in fractional calculus, related areas of applied analysis areas and their applications
  • Readers can find also actual information on the main recent and forthcoming events and books in the area
  • Readers can find useful archive of preprinted old sources of high interest that are now hardly accessible
  • See Table of Contents of all previous volumes 1-13 (1998-2010)
  • High publishing quality available in both forms, electronic and printed

Why submit

  • Fair and constructive peer-reviewing process by the best world experts in FCAA topics
  • Specialized mathematical journal that enables the authors to expose deeper their results, skipping the basic preliminaries and providing more sophisticated details, suitable for a well prepared interested audience
  • Online First publication of accepted papers at SpringerLink
  • Promotion of the published articles to hundreds of researchers in the same field as well as to wider scientific audience
  • The journal is abstracted and indexed in some of the major repositories and electronic databases
  • The journal is distributed and marketed by Springer, to be available for thousand libraries and readers accessing SpringerLink
  • Electronic submissions and queries are addressed directly to the Managing Editor

Submission

Manuscripts should be submitted to FCAA electronically by e-mail to the Managing Editor (Virginia Kiryakova virginia@diogenes.bg). Although for the first stage of reviewing a PDF file is enough, the authors should be ready to provide ASAP upon acceptance, finally revised versions of the LaTeX source and the figures’ files (if any) together with the final PDF file and the TCA.

Your contribution

We greatly appreciate the time and effort given by reviewers in evaluating papers for publication in our journal. Thanks to your contribution and expertise, the authors in FCAA journal receive fast, fair and comprehensive reviews.

Our standards

  • Our reviewers are kindly requested to deliver reports in 40 days
  • Research articles are reviewed by a minimum of two reviewers
  • We pay special attention to receive unbiased, fair opinions
  • Whenever submission qualifies for publication but needs revision, reviewers are asked to give comprehensive opinion on necessary improvements
  • Although the Referee Form consists of some formal questionnaire’s items to fill in, most important for our decision and for author’s revision will be your informal comments given in “Comments / Suggestions to the author”, “Comments to the editor” and “Referee’s Recommendation”.

Tools

There is a stuff on the second page of the referee form that will be kept confidential:  including your name, remarks to the editor only, etc. So, either send the form in text format (MsWord *.doc, *.rtf) and accompany with LaTeX produced part (only if necessary for Maths); or if the file is pdf or scan format, take care that this confidential stuff goes on next separate page.
