The Institute of Physics (GADAM Centre Team) publishes Geochronometria, a multi-disciplinary Journal on Methods and Applications of Absolute Chronology (Copyright by Institute of Physics, Silesian University of Technology; Editor-in-Chief Anna Pazdur, Managing Editor Grzegorz Adamiec, Editor Danuta Michczynska). Geochronometria has an International Scientific Board and all papers are peer reviewed. Starting from volume 24 (in 2004), Geochronometria has been included in the Science Citation Index. Geochronometria is also listed in the databases of electronic journals EBSCO and BAZTECH, as well as in the indexing service of ELSEVIER. Geochronometria received the first Impact Factor in August 2008 which is equal to 0.667.

Geochronometria is aimed at integrating scientists developing different methods of absolute chronology and using them in different fields of earth and other natural sciences and archaeology. The methods in use are physical (e.g. radiocarbon and other isotopic methods, luminescence etc.) as well as non-physical (e.g. dendrochronology or varve chronology), and they are used in such diverse fields of science as geology, palaeoclimatology, palaeobiology, palaeohydrology and archaeology.
